Hi there! I'm Samuel, owner-operator of Housewarming Helpers.I've spent about 5 years on and off doing handyman work on the side, and I quickly realized many of my clients were new movers, tired and stressed, daunted by the prospect of handling all the handyman work needed to set up their new house.Unpacking and organizing alone is enough of a task, but when you add assembling furniture, installing light fixtures, mounting TV's, all after a stressful move, it can become simply overwhelming.That's why I decided to quit my job and start Housewarming Helpers, so that we can get clients settled into their new homes quickly and pleasantly.Of course, you don't have to be a new mover to benefit from our services, we often perform maintenance and home improvement tasks as well.Since we've been in business, my workdays have become much more fulfilling thanks to the response we've had from our customers.Thanks for reading. Nitty Gritty
We invoice $550 for a full day (8 hours), $300 for a half day (4 hours). Full day is slightly cheaper because it requires less driving, scheduling and administrative work compared to two half days.When you are interested in booking us, you may contact us by phone or email, where you will speak with me directly about the scope of the job and when you would like us to come out. After we've covered everything and agreed on a date, I will send you an email confirming your appointment, followed by an invoice after the job is finished.I will do my best to give an estimate for the amount of time required to finish the job, however bear in mind some tasks like assembling furniture are highly variable in terms of how long they take. For this reason, I try to leave some wiggle room between different jobs in case some additional time is necessary.We are currently in the process of hiring additional handymen, so if you'll be working with someone other than me I will also provide you with their contact information so you can stay in touch. I take great care in vetting our potential employees, and I promise their work will be in line with the quality you've come to expect.We accept Credit Card and ACH Bank Transfer payments online through the invoice page, and we of course can also take cash/check as well as some other online payment methods like Zelle and Paypal.
